I’ve compiled a variety of upcoming holiday events taking place from South Naples to Fort Myers in the coming weeks. Whether you’re looking for free events, things for the whole family to do, outdoor events, or even musical performances – everyone can find something they are looking for!
Holiday on the Bay
The Naples Venetian Village is hosting the “Holiday on The Bay” event every Saturday through Christmas Eve. Holiday entertainment will include photos with Santa, stories with Mrs. Claus, Dickens period Carolers, dance group performances, and a festive snow show! Entry and parking are free, and you can shop or dine at any of Venetian Village’s 45 shops and waterfront restaurants while your there.
The event takes place on December 15th & 22nd, from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. with the snow show starting at 7 P.M.
New Year’s Eve Fireworks!
A staple event in Naples every holiday season is the New Year’s Eve firework display at the Naples Pier. The City of Naples invites its residents and visitors to celebrate the start of 2019 along the beach. Bring your own beach chairs or blankets and find a spot north or south of the Naples City Pier and enjoy the show. The event is free to attend, and the fireworks will start at 7:30 and go on for a 30-minute show. Please be advised that parking is limited, and towing will be enforced in no parking areas.
The event takes place on December 31st from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM
A Swingin’ Little Christmas with Jane Lynch
Jane Lynch, an Emmy and Golden Globe winner known for her roles on Glee and Hollywood Game Night, is bringing her live concert tour “A Swingin’ Little Christmas” to the Southwest Florida Event Center in Bonita Springs. She will be joined by Kate Flannery – who’s known for playing Meredith on The Office – Tim Davis, and the Tony Guerrero Quintet to perform their holiday album “A Swingin’ Little Christmas. The event takes place on Thursday, December 13th; venue opens at 5:30 for cocktails and dinner, and the show begins at 7 P.M. Tickets can be purchased here.

Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer: The Musical
The most famous reindeer of all is coming to Hertz Arena in Estero for Rudolph The Red-Nose Reindeer: The Musical! The musical will bring the story from one of the longest running and highest rated television special live. Perfect for the whole family to enjoy! Tickets can be purchased here.
The event takes place on December 21st at 7:00 PM.
Burroughs Home & Gardens Holiday House
The Burroughs Home & Gardens is a historic home in Fort Myers, and each December the “Holiday Holiday” house event brings out the best of holiday-themed décor. You can tour the house for $10 a person (free for kids 10 and under, and Veterans & Military members) and view the décor, visit Santa, and see the house lit up with thousands of magical lights. Tours are available nightly from December 7th -22nd, with doors opening at 5PM – 9PM. Tickets are available onsite or can be purchased in advance here.
A Christmas Carol
The Florida Repertory Theatre in Fort Myers presents their world-premiere adaptation of the beloved Charles Dickens classic “A Christmas Carol”. This is the holiday theatrical event of the season – featuring original music, onstage musicians, and actors in multiple roles! There will be multiple shows up until December 19th, tickets can be purchased here.
